To be considered for financial support to attend NCUR 2017, students must submit an application no later than 11:59 PM on Monday, November 13 to MG 2004.
This will include:
- An application
- An abstract
- The name and email of your Truman faculty mentor. Tell your faculty mentor that an email will be sent to him/her requesting a reference letter. This letter should does not need to be a full letter of reference. Please instruct your faculty mentor to upload a letter that says: “I, Prof. xxxxx, have seen my student’s abstract and hereby approve of his/her application.” Sincerely, Prof. xxxx
Successful applicants will be notified no later than Monday, Nov. 14, 2016.
Once a student has secured funding, the student must submit their abstract to NCUR for consideration by the December 5, 2017 deadline.
Funds will be awarded pending acceptance of the abstract by NCUR. Instructions regarding the conference registration procedure will be communicated to students in January 2017.
Students should submit their abstracts to NCUR at any time before the NCUR deadline (Dec. 5, 2017), by following the directions here regardless of OSR travel funding status.
All currently enrolled Truman undergraduate students are eligible to apply for funding to attend NCUR 2017. Students must have worked with a Truman faculty or staff member who served as a mentor to the project. Only one application and abstract may be submitted by each student. If multiple students are listed as co-authors on an abstract, only one representative from the team will be funded to attend the conference.
